From providing monitored exercise facilities to counseling on diet and weight loss, prevention efforts at Midtown Cardiovascular are based on the most up-to-date behavioral interventions to help patients modify their cardiovascular risks. We help our patients develop rehabilitation programs they can pursue at home.
Dr. Alan Fard and his staff collaborate with other specialists and hospitals throughout Manhattan. Following his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Fard completed two years of training in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging at Columbia Presbyterian. He was then recruited as faculty of the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University and has been attending physician at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital since 1997. Dr. Fard is also an attending physician at NYU Langone Medical Center and Beth Isreal Medical Center in Manhattan, with full admitting privileges. Throughout the years, Dr. Fard has been responsible for the education of many medical students, residents, and fellows at Columbia University as well as Saint Vincent's Hospital. He is also active in many research trials investigating mechanisms of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, and the effects of various treatments and therapeutics.
Cardiovascular disease is a slow progressive disease that can begin early in life and go undetected for years. But it can be treated and even reversed when caught in time. At Midtown Cardiovascular, we offer stress echocardiography and carotid imaging for early detection and prevention, plus dietary consultations, electrocardiograms, exercise treadmill testing, holter monitors, and laboratory services. (Click here to learn more about stress echocardiography.)
Midtown Cardiovascular is committed to providing you with state-of-the-art comprehensive cardiac care. We offer a screening program of cardiovascular risk factors (including testing of cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure) as well as education material on how to lower your heart disease risk.
Please email us or call 212.686.2220 to schedule a screening or receive educational material on how to lower your cardiovascular risk.
