2022 is our 34th anniversary in Battery Park City! We are a community-oriented office with heavy involvement in activities around the area. All of our doctors have State University of New York College of Optometry educations. They include:
Dr. David Naparstek: A fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the New York Academy of Optometry, he has been active in contact lens-related research and has presented papers at their meetings. His contact lens specialties include custom lenses for astigmatism, bifocal and monovision in both soft and gas permeables (GPs). Dr. Naparstek is active in many community programs associated with vision care and is a consultant for laser vision correction. He was an assistant clinical professor in the contact lens service.
Dr. Michele Maxwell: having been with the practice since 2007, she completed externships in contact lenses and primary eye health care, with additional training in pediatrics and ocular disease. Before making a career change to optometry, Dr. Maxwell enjoyed a previous life as a cartographer with United Parcel Service© and The Washington Post®.
