OUR STORY

Three generations of Warshaws have owned and operated this hardware store.

Warshaw Hardware was established in 1925 by Louis Warshaw, the late grandfather of current owners Carl and Ed.  Louis was a master electrician at Warshaw Hardware.

The store was then passed on to his son Richard Warshaw, also a master electrician, and late father of Carl and Ed.

Warshaw Hardware is currently owned and operated by Carl and Ed Warshaw.  Ed is a New York City licensed locksmith.

The great grandchildren of Louis are involved in the day to day operations of the business as well, bringing a 4th generation of Warshaws into the store.

Today, Warshaw Hardware still offers a vast selection of hardware items, paint, and locksmith services to the Gramercy Park neighborhood and surrounding areas.

​Warshaw Hardware is known for its cozy, yet convenient location on 3rd avenue, between 20th and 21st streets in the famous Gramercy Park neighborhood of New York City.  We have always been a family owned business, and support other local business as well.  

Customer service is the number one priority at Warshaw Hardware.  Whether you're spending 50 cents, or 500 dollars, you'll be assisted in every way you need at Warshaw, by personable employees, who know where everything in the store is located.  

Our prices and dedication to serving our customers exceptionally well is what separates us from the big-box hardware stores.  If we don't have what you need, we'll gladly order it, and promptly have it delivered.
